Redcliff Quarter Bristol

Redcliff Quarter - Phase 2

Bristol

Redcliff Quarter Phase 2 forms part of one of the biggest contemporary developments in the city, regenerating a large portion of the city-centre from its post-industrial dereliction. The new urban quarter will include a 22-storey Residential tower, over 400 apartments, offices, 185-bed 4-star hotel, retail, cafes, restaurants and food-court concept showcasing local talent and produce.

Scheme Overview

The project will transform the 3.5 acre site with new streets, public realm, open spaces, courtyards and rooftop gardens to become a vibrant part of Bristol’s ‘18-Hour City’. It capitalises on its position amongst public transport networks close to the Harbourside, business and retail quarters. The residential tower has been enlarged with the city’s encouragement from 18 to 22 storeys, to become Bristol’s tallest residential building with panoramic views across Bristol.
The completed phase 1 (2018) has delivered 127 apartments, commercial/ retail space and undercroft parking, all pre-let to a major PRS operator. Construction of the ongoing phases is underway.

The 12-storey hotel building is designed to suit Fattal Group’s Leonardo/NYX hotel brands, with architecture designed to compliment its surroundings and tie in with associated uses: the dining offer includes Michelin-star rated chef Josh Eggleton, with a series of restaurants which create an active street frontage and the progressive epicurean-market styled food-court placing the hotel at the centre of a busy and attractive leisure and residential hub.

The architectural design is driven by attainment of the optimum balance of active streets, daylight, public and private space, and long and short distance massing.
